From The Presidents Desk
Hello fellow Club members, this is my first chance I have had to tell you who I am and my goals for the year.
I’m a 51 yr old father of two daughters, My oldest daughter, as well as two of my brothers and father are members. My wife and I have lived on the family farm in Paris for the last 25 years. I’m a disabled mechanic and former 19 year fire fighter and fire chief. I collect Farmall tractors and International 2 bottom plows.
My original plan was to run as vice president but that changed in February when I became president. My goals are to first insure that the Club will still exist for many years to come by becoming financially stable and to make being a member more enjoyable and have pride in belonging. My second goal is to get more members involved in Club activities, running the Club and expressing your ideas. Third, is to bring in young members so they can be mentored. Remember that in our membership we a vast untapped pool of history and knowledge that needs to be handed down to the younger generation.
Feel free to contact me anytime and remember this Club is run by and for the members, not a select few.
Tractor Supply Co Ride Fathers Day June 21
We will be meeting at Park Side Café (across from the Fair grounds) at 8:30 am in the back room. Nate (owner) will have a full menu and breakfast specials. He would like to have the tractors parked on the west side of the parking lot for customers to see. We will be leaving the restaurant at 9:30 SHARP. T.S.C. will have vendors set up outside including lunch for sale. The show is 11 am to 2 pm. Big thanks for Matt and his crew at TSC and also PATS for donating a porta potty. We will be having Club raffles at 12pm and 1 pm, and also play games. Don’t forget your lawn chairs.
