My View from the Tractor Seat November 2016 President- Randy Graf Vice-President- Brian Brown Treasurer- Bill Herreid Secretary – Bob Musgrave   This has been the 25th year for our club. As you are probably reading this Newsletter, we are in the Thanksgiving season with the Holidays right behind. And by this time a new President of the United States will have been elected. Next year we are featuring 175 years of the J.I. Case Company. The Club has purchased a Case 311B tractor to use as a Raffle Tractor with a second and third prize. At the General Membership Meeting on 11/2/16 the decision was made NOT to have a December General Membership Meeting, the next meeting will be the January Meeting on 1/4/2016. Two things will be happening that night. In lieu of a Christmas Party/Spring Fling we will be doing what we did last year. There will be a Pot Luck Supper, doors open at 6:00, dinner at 6:30 with the meeting starting at the normal time of 7:30. Please bring a dish to pass, the Club will supply the drinks. January also means election time. A Club Election will be held at the meeting. All Officer’s positions are open and 3 Board positions are open. If you are interested in helping out the Club and serving on the Board, please let me or one of the Board Members know before then. We took an advisory vote regarding renting the Park for next year’s Show, and the majority of the people at the meeting said no. The Board will make a final decision at the 11/10/16 meeting based on that advisory vote. The general consensus regarding the Tractor Pull at our Show is to move it to Saturday afternoon to bring more people and Pullers in. I hooked at the Tractor Pull this year, and the majority of Pullers told me they would rather have it on Saturday afternoon rather than Friday Night. A lot of people have issues with trying to get to the Pull on Friday night after work. The details will be worked out in the next few months. I want to thank everyone who helped with the Show this year. We had some problems but they seemed to have worked themselves out. On a personal note, I have served on the Board or have been an Officer of this Club for 10 years or so. It is time for other people to step up. Thus I will not accept a nomination for a Board or Officer’s position at the January Meeting. I feel some things have happened this year that has been very detrimental to the Club. But there are people that feel the Club is not going in the right direction with me as President so I am stepping down and other people can be in charge. I will still plan on helping with the Tractor Pull, County Fair display, demonstrations at the Show, etc. If everything goes right I also plan on retiring next year and spend more time with my wife, family, and the grandkids. I have had many members that have been very supportive of my efforts in maintaining this Club and its endeavors and I want to publically thank those people and I consider them my friends. In closing, I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year and I hope 2017 brings many blessings to you and yours.   Any questions or concerns, my cell is 262-939-5660, email is bigrford@wi.net. Thanks, Randy
